The British-Irish Meningioma Society (BIMS) strives to achieve best possible outcomes for patients with meningioma through better understanding of the condition and its impact on patients lives, through refining surgical and existing non-surgical treatments, and through developing novel treatments. The Society facilitates collaborative work on the national level to maximize speed and impact of basic science and clinical studies as well as dissemination of best practice among clinical centres in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Despite the Society’s name, it is the patient, not the disease, that it is at the heart of what we do. BIMS thus brings together surgeons, oncologists, neuropsychologists, scientists and charities to work together to make lives of patients with meningiomas better.
