We are BME Medics Liverpool! Black and Minority Ethnicities are underrepresented in the NHS. With this in mind, we formed our society in 2018 with the aim of uniting students of Black and Ethnic Minority Groups in the medical field. We sought to combat the feeling of isolation often felt by minority ethnicities by creating a community in which we can share experiences and learn together. We hold a range of events including monthly peer teaching sessions for medical students, career talks, our annual "Culture Ball" and annual "Inequalities in Healthcare Conference".
