The British Cardiovascular Society is committed to increasing the number of women training, working and leading in cardiology. We want to champion change, address gender inequality in working practice and support our community of women Cardiologists across the UK. The aims of the BCS WiC team are to: 1. Engage: To develop new initiatives to attract female doctors to cardiology in the UK. 2. Collaborate: To work with other Cardiology societies to identify and address reasons for gender inequality. 3. Support: To champion changes in working practice which promote equity for male and female cardiologists and trainees. 4. Inform: To provide contemporary educational resources and support regarding issues relevant to women in Cardiology. 5. Network: To grow and support our community of women in Cardiology across the UK.
