While cyclosporine is also a calcineurin inhibitor commonly used in transplant cases, it is more commonly associated with renal dysfunction, hirsutism, vincristine, or hypertension as adverse effects.

Prednisone, a corticosteroid, is often used in the acute phase post-transplant. Its side-effects could be Cushing-like manifestations but not skin changes.

Rapamycin, or sirolimus, is a macrolide compound that's used in transplant cases and prevents T-cell activation. It can cause hyperlipidemia and thrombocytopenia but not the skin changes seen in the patient.

Mycophenolate mofetil inhibits inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase and suppresses both B and T cell functions. Its side-effects are related to GI disturbances and bone marrow suppression, not skin changes.
