Professor Scarlett McNally is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Eastbourne and previously Director of Medical Education. Elected Council member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2011-2021) - the ninth woman. Deputy Director of the Centre for Perioperative Care (www.cpoc.org.uk) Honorary Clinical Professor at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. She has an MA in Clinical Education, an MBA and black belt (4th Dan) in Karate. She writes and talks on: Exercise ‘miracle cure’, achieving institutional/community/personal change to improve health and to fix the NHS. This includes active travel. She also works on team-working, diversity, bullying and education. 4 adult children, 3 electric-cycles and had a stem cell transplant for Myeloma with cardiac amyloidosis.
