Qualifications
He is currently undertaking a Cancer Research UK funded PhD as part of a collaborationbetween Manchester Cancer Research Centre and Leeds Clinical Trials Unit, investigating weight loss intervention to prevent obesity-relatedcancer. He recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Innovation with Imperial College London, focussing on adopting Robotic-Assisted Surgery within the NHS. He is particularly interested in evidence-based training innovation, technology-enhanced surgery and data science.
He sits on the Executive committee for ASiT as Honorary Secretary and Chair of the Robotic and Digital Surgery committee. He also sits on the executive councils for ALSGBI, the Roux Group and the British Association of Day Surgery as Trainee representative. He is
passionate about advocating for the development and implementation of evidence-based surgical training interventions in such a fast-moving
area.
