Prof Eastwood is President of the British Orthopaedic Association. She works in the generality of paediatric orthopaedic surgery and is the Departmental Lead and ‘Head of Research’ at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Director of Medical Research. She is Associate Professor at University College London.
She has been a Visiting Professor at several institutions in North America and contributes regularly to the IPOS (International Paediatric Orthopaedic Symposium) in Orlando. She is past president of EPOS.
Specialisms
Deborah Eastwood works in the generality of paediatric orthopaedic surgery, but has particular interests in children with overgrowth syndomes, metabolic bone disease and those with neurological problems. She also deals with hip and foot/ankle problems and acts as the lead surgeon for the Ponseti service for clubfoot deformity.
