Aim: To understand how to validate Washer Disinfectors according to UK legislation.

Objectives: At the end of this session delegates should be able to: -Define key terms and describe purpose of validation in the dental context     - Explain the method, process and equipment required for validation of washer disinfector·          - Demonstrate compliance by completing records and audits

Learning content: The lecture will include how to define validation and justify why it is important to complete correctly and fully. It will summarise the key elements of a WD and how it works to process instruments and how key processes need to be validated using RPT and CET.
