Summary
Organizing a conference that focuses on International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who aspire to become a surgeon in the UK can be an excellent opportunity to bring together medical professionals and students worldwide. This conference will be held in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons England, one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the UK.
The one-day conference will be held on September 30th, 2023, at the Royal College of Surgeons, London with the theme of ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Surgery’. The conference aims to bring together a diverse group of medical professionals and students who are interested in pursuing a career as a surgeon in the UK and provide a platform for IMGs to network and acquire guidance in navigating a competitive surgical career.
There will be keynote speeches from some of the leading surgeons in the UK on a variety of topics including a panel discussion. We will have workshops on portfolio development, surgical skills competitions and talks about how to get started with academic research.
One of the conference's highlights will be the poster presentation, which is open to medical students and IMGs. This will be an excellent opportunity for participants to present their hard work on a range of topics related to surgery. A panel of experts will judge the poster presentations, and the winners will receive recognition for their work at the international level.
The Royal College of Surgeons, London, is an ideal venue for the conference. The institution has a rich history, with state-of-the-art facilities making it an excellent location for hosting such an event. Participants will have access to world-class facilities, including lecture halls, seminar rooms, and exhibition spaces.
