Yes. OK. So good evening everyone and uh welcome to the session. And uh this session is powered by med all which uh uh I'm representative from me all, Mister Alex Derick. And uh he is this evening giving his time and he will be guiding us about how to use the middle platform, how it can be beneficial for medical practitioners and how we can make most of it. So, starting with the introduction, Mr Alex Davies, he welcome Alex, welcome to the session and thank you that you could find time for us and explain about how the middle platform works and you know, other things about it. We are very thankful for you uh for you giving us your time and you know, finding time to explain things. Uh everyone uh who is attending the session. Mr Alex Davis is the partner who takes care of collaborations, strategic partnerships and he looks fo forward and you know, collaborating with the new or organizations and he just takes care that their journey becomes smoother on the me all platform. So taking this ahead, Alex please, you can just take on the session. Thank you for your time. No, problem. Thank you so much for a lovely introduction. It's wonderful to be here. Um I'm joining you from my, my bedroom office in Swindon in the UK, which is a lovely city. And if you haven't been to Swindon, I would definitely recommend visiting the next time that you're in the United Kingdom. Um As I said, my name, my role at Medal is to support organizations with using the medal platform, hosting events and then attending events as well. And what did I want to do today was just give you a really brief introduction to Medal's mission and why we've created this platform then highlight some of the key things that you can use our platform to do. Um from an educational perspective, you will already have seen. Hopefully that in the chat, there is a poll up and running. Please don't forget to, to give an answer to the poll to let us know if this is your first time on Medal or if you have used the platform before. But I'm gonna start off by just telling you a little bit about why we were created as a platform originally. So what we want to do with Medal was address a global healthcare problem. Now, the who says that we need 18 million more healthcare professionals by 2030 but it takes a long time to train a specialty doctor around 15 years on average and a huge amount of money around about $700,000. Now, on top of this, there are what the lancet describes as severe institutional shortages. And by this, we mean that there are simply not enough medical schools around the world to train the number of healthcare professionals that we need. On top of this, where the problem is at its greatest, the resources are often at their least. So for example, in Africa, there are 11 countries without a single medical school. Now this is a global problem and if it isn't solved, it is the patients who are going to suffer. And for a problem on a global scale, we needed a solution that was going to allow organizations and individuals to deliver accessible healthcare training at a global scale. And that is where med all has come in. Now, our platform allows organizations to deliver training conferences and events for free, using a huge variety of to by offering our platform at no cost. We then allow these organizations to put on more frequent training events in the areas of the world that need it the most think of us as a virtual medical school and health care professional community. Now, we're working with over 2000 organizations including the society of physiotherapists. And we have close to 100 and 40,000 healthcare professionals using us on a weekly basis. What we're really proud about is the global reach and we have over 100 and 67 different countries through from which organizations have used medal to promote their training and deliver some really, really incredible educational courses. In the last 18 month, there have been over 6000 different training events that have been delivered on medal and those are around 1600 individual courses. And there are events happening literally every single minute. So this week, we've got 92 different courses that are being delivered. I'm delivering one right now, but there's a whole bunch of other areas that you can jump onto to attend as well. And I want to show you exactly how you can use medal now to, to go in and attend some of those events. So I'm gonna stop my screen sharing here and then I'm gonna start presenting on here instead, there we go. So all of you just by attending this event have now already created a medal account and this means that if you verified that account, you'll be able to start browsing and attending all of the hundreds of thousands of events that we've got available from our home page here. We've made it incredibly easy for you to first browse by the topic or the specialty that you might be interested in or you can look for specific organizations. We've also made it easy for you to identify the organizations that are frequently delivering high quality educational events by promoting them as our exceptional educators. We have a team of medical editor, editors who will look at every event that is being hosted and determine how efficient, how effective and how valuable that event will be. And for those that are consistently delivering them, they will be highlighted as our exceptional educators. If you found an organization who are delivering events that you're particularly interested in, you can follow them and then you'll receive email updates for any new live or on demand content that they produce. Now, I mentioned the on demand content because we think this is a hugely important part of the learning experience. So you can register and attend any of the events that are happening on the platform, the vast majority of which will be completely free, but you can also watch content that has been produced in the past and then made available as on demand. For example, I'm gonna jump into our learn with nurses content here and you're able to watch this content whenever suits you best. Don't worry about watching it all at once. You can break it down into sections and help it fit around your everyday life. You'll be provided with a certificate proving that you attended or participated in this event. But this is only available in this case once you've watched at least 80% of the content. So make sure you're engaging with this before you try and claim your certificate. No, it was. There we go. Now as I said, there is a huge amount of different content available on the platform and I recommend that you do spend some time looking at the events that are being featured. You can search by specialty or individual topic, but you can also search for other things. For example, conferences that might be accepting abstracts or events being delivered by our exceptional educators or even better events that are being hosted completely for free. Now, there's an exceptional number of events being hosted. So so please take some time to look through them. But the other thing that I wanted to talk to you about was how you can use Medal to actually host conferences and teaching sessions by yourself. So I've been working with the society physiotherapist to set up this event today. Um But you guys could have done it completely by yourself as well because I hope, you know, prep will, will agree with me here. It is incredibly easy to set up once you're on medal, all you need to do once you've created your account is head over here to host an event and create an event, you'll be asked to create your organization, but then you'll be able to follow some really simple steps to create an online, a hybrid or an in person event on Medal. Now, you can sell tickets for this event. You can make it completely free and you can use our live streaming tool. Medal, which is exactly what you're seeing here at no cost to any individual involved using Medal live is a fantastic way of increasing the accessibility of your event. It will automatically record as soon as you're going live, which means that any of your attendees that weren't able to come at the time can always catch up afterwards. And you'll see from how you're interacting here. We have a variety of tools available to increase the interactivity with the audience like the polling feature. We've also got things like a virtual poster haul an abstract management system. Everything behind the scenes on Medal is just as incredible as what you see in front of you as well. So I would definitely encourage everyone to go and create an organization if you are a representative and just see the features that are available. Now at the end of today's session, I'm gonna pass onto pre some help guides for you that I'm sure he will pass on that you can use to make the most out of med all because there is a wealth of information available, everything from how to set up your accounts and change your password all the way through to how to collect payment for an event. If you're charging for tickets, we've created guides for absolutely everything. There's also a number of tools that are, you know, coming in the future that are going to be really, really fascinating. So for example, our question banks, now we're building these across a variety of different medical exams. Um And if there's any in particular that you're really interested in register your interest or submit a query to us and ask us to produce questions. We will over time create ones for every single exam that we can think of. So it's worth getting your submission in early so that we can work on it sooner rather than later. I'm gonna take a bit of a pause there because I realize I've been speaking for a while. I would love to answer any questions that you have on how to use the platform. Why metal was created or anything at all. So if you do have any questions for me, you should see on the right hand side of your screen, the chat function and if you're able to pop a question in the chat and I will do my best to answer it immediately. Oh, now, I think my lovely cohost has just accidentally left the call. Um But that's not a problem. I'm sure he'll be able to uh to, to, to rejoin. In the meantime, do pop your, your questions in the sides. Now, a really important part of medal is feedback. Um not just for our platform but for the individual events and for the events organizers. So at the end of this event today, you will all receive an email that contains a feedback form. In order to receive your certificate of attendance, you must complete the feedback form. You will not be able to get it until you've completed that feedback form. And when you've completed the feedback form, you'll be able to download a personalized certificate. Now, this is the same across any event on medal. So as soon as you've collected or provided the feedback, you'll receive your personalized attendance or participation and let me show you where you can then find all of the uh all of the certificates that you can award. So I'm gonna present again. We know it's super frustrating. You know, perhaps you're, you're looking at the end of the year, you're trying to sum up all of the learning that you've done over that, that year, you've lost half the certificates that you've been awarded. We want to make for you. So as soon as you've been awarded a certificate on medal, you can download it and you can print it off, but it will also be available for you on your profile in the right hand corner, simply head to achievements and you'll be able to see all of the courses that you've taken part in and download all of the certificates that you've been awarded as well. Doesn't look like we've got any questions just yet. So I will, I will keep it going. I think right now people are still trying to absorb what you have told. I think probably just, just one more thing we wanted to discuss. So whatever sessions we have just right now we are done right now. We'll be recording it anyway. Yes. So the the platform automatically records any live session that's being held and then the event organizers that's yourself will be able to access those event recordings afterwards and make them available as on demand content if you choose. Perfect. So whosoever is not able to attend or probably, you know, people will need some more time to be, probably understand and just what we have just thought then and probably once they start using the courses and other things, they'll get more used to it. So let's hope for the best. Absolutely. Yeah. If you ever need support in, in using the platform, you can see hopefully in the right hand corner of your screen, there is a chat box function that will allow you to speak to some of our, um, customer success agents and they will do their best to get back to you as soon as possible. You can also then head to our health articles and if any of you do represent larger organizations that want to use med all exactly in the fashion that we have today and you want to host an event, you can book a demo with myself or another member of my team at a time that's convenient to you. Ok. Sounds good. Fabulous. Well, should we leave it perhaps another minute just to see if there are any people typing questions? But was there any just give a minute or two for people to realize if they want to ask anything? And if there are no questions, I think we'll call it today. Fantastic. Yeah. Yeah, it's ok. Alice. I, I, is, is there somebody who's typing a question because I can see it? No, no, I was just gonna say I can see that everyone who has responded to our poll today has said that this is their first time or medal, which is always really exciting. Um, so I guess thank you so much for everyone that did participate, er, because we always appreciate that and, er, yeah, perhaps we can, we can probably finish there and, er, then you can upload that recording for anyone that, that wasn't able to make the session. Ok, that sounds good. Well, thank you everyone so much for joining. It was a, it was a pleasure a um, and enjoy the rest of your evening and hopefully we'll, we'll see you all soon. Thank you, Alex. And may you have a nice weekend and thank you for giving you valuable time and definitely we'll see you more often. No problem at all. Thanks very much. Thank you. Please take care.
