So just quickly before we start a shout out to our sponsor M d U S o laws is here from the MD you and she'll be joining us for the Q and A Z at the end and see if you have any questions for her is we'll pop it in the chat. Um, so the main thing to for you guys to know is that course a lot. Doctors need indemnity, so don't forget to fill out your MD foundation membership before you start shadowing. Unless you fill out the form your indemnity will finish. Your street of membership will finish in summer. So just to make sure you have everything up to date and we'll put a few links and things in the chat in case you need any help, Um and then I'll hand over to sensible with the presentation. Pretty. Um, thank you. Okay, So what we're going to cover today give you a little bit of an intro? Why you need any portfolio, all of the mandatory requirements on, But all of the extra things that you can add on which, when it comes to the end of the year when you're getting signed off there will be in support of your of yourself and reflect yourself, positive me, and also to let You know, we've got food, but form at the end, and we'll give you a certificate off attendance once you I feel that right? So just to start with, I know no everyone watching is from the UK, So there are two e portfolio systems once called Horace that's used in. That's using England on one is called to rest on. That's using Northern Ireland, Scotland and whales, so that started covered. But the main thing to be aware of the things covered and each one is pretty much exactly the same. I've seen both the portfolios on all of the all of the different topics, and the different things and requirements are pretty much the same. So it'll be relevant. So I'll give you a quick overview, then off horror. So I'll be smoking about horrors, um, uniform in the West Midlands region on Horace is the port for your system on music. So this is actually just a quick screen show off for us. The mandatory forms that you need for each placement on by each placement, we mean each four month block. You got 34 months blocks in the year on. That's when you finish your F one year. So we're going to detail about each one of these. You got your meetings at the start and at the end of the former block, you've got things that you need to complete throughout each placement that comes with the medication CBDs on at the end of the block. You should have and clinical supervisor and education's for the placement. And you should also be signing off your personal developmental. Um, it's called your PDP's and broke. We'll go on to that little bit these some of the mandatory forms that you need to be filling in. We're going to get it about these. Do you get your topic or procedures? Certificates? Teaching is really big one on contributing towards quality. Improvement on this is just some additional forms that you can add to support yourself and just to show and display everything we've done that could be publications any recent you got involved in on it taste a week that you decide to do on. Also, we've got career. There's a career section where you add a bit about your career prospects and what you'd like to go into what you've been thinking about. So what is an e portfolio, and why do you need to have it? So it's Monday. Treat a have because you need to be able to show you're learning your development throughout the year. Um, particularly when it comes to a R C E P, which is called, which is short form for annual review of competency on Progression On. That's basically the end of your sign off at the end of usually happens around June. So 10 months into F one close to the end, where they look at all of your progress of your achievements and C should be all the requirements to progress. Deaf, too. You need to display what you've done on also, just it's a good way to keep on track off everything. Now sle supervise learning events. Um, so these are going to be very important as an F one. So these consist of things like your, um, case based discussions about interesting cases, um, or history and examination that you've taken and one of your seniors signing you off for that on, Do you discussing the case with them? So just to discuss them a little bit more, the is some example to you've got many cakes is you've got procedures that you could do that need to be seen by a senior or under the health care professional. Um, again, they will help you to develop on their part of your curriculum the foundation curriculum, which will come to Onda. You can only use these at your different clinical supplies and education by the meetings. You can use them in specialty interviews as you progress in your careers to display things that you've gone which might be tailored towards that specialty. For example, they want to do intensive care as a specialty. You could show that you you put in a night you're line before they had got um Now, how would we recommend what in SLE we've gone article on the minor people outside which you can have a look at. I'll just give you a quick overview of how to do so and what we recommend. So we'd recommend. So this is just a different subheading that you need to cover. So, a description of the event what happened? Um ah, quick discussion about how you would move forwards what you learn from the case on the reflection about the event is. Well, so, um, for example, this is a Mini CAC's, which is a case evaluation exercise. So this case is often on, well, patient. And I've just highlighted in green some of the key words and parts to include so an A B C D assessment. So that's airway breathing, circulation, disability, everything else. So one of the cool things you should be doing as an F one is not underweight. Your assessments. So just put a brief, Remember, I'm no, no mustard. Um, So, for example, here and it was an elderly patient who had a fracture. Um, and at high poxy as well. So yeah, the the doctors discussing that they lead baby 80 assessment, evaluated the hype, oxy a cause and started treatment, and it dishes that they discussed with the family as well. Um, the focus they encountered have to choose. That could be a number of different things, like clinical assessment complexity. Whether this is a new patient on, then your trainer, your senior, maybe that's an F two, doctor. Maybe that's a court trainee of are destroyed. Consultant. It can be any of your seniors. Um, they'll give you feedback on that. Might be something they do both in person and in the form afterwards. So here, um if you but given was that the doctor promptly responded to the animal patient on the senior was impressed about how they coordinate to the team on. They also make a recommendation about what they can do moving forward. I'm being that they could speak out loud about the differentials so that the whole team of the world what they're doing in terms of agreed action, this is something you should think about with your senior about how what you might do going forwards. And also, I had a bit of a reflection. For example, here I said, don't speak out about on. They were going to be organizing a delivery and teaching session as well as the time frame. And for who? Um and then reflection. They're very important as well on we'll come to that. So in terms of the agreed action, um, I recommend using this smart acronym to So that's just s for being specific, so specific about what you want to do and for the outcome, be measurable. Maybe you can get feedback for what you've done attainable. So it's something that you actually be able to achieve. Relevance relevant to curriculum on to that situation on within a certain time frame. Now, in terms of reflections, I'm sure you've reflected a lot whilst in medical school on DA. That doesn't stop. Reflection is something you continue to do on DA gives. Reflect the cycle. Something I find useful. Um, so describing what happened? Remember to talk about feelings evaluating what happened and the good things in the challenging circumstances and what you're going to to moving forwards. So other examples of SLE is that you might want to include in your portfolio, uh, include CBD. So this is a case based discussions. Usually these these have to be done with the rest of our destroy level or above usually isn't registrar or consultant. It can be a GP, I think. And possibly an essayist doctor about how they look, it will say on the form who could actually sign it off. Um, that would be about an interesting case. You could discuss that management that you implemented of that case, whether it be the investigation that you found interesting with symptoms and signs DCT is developing in the clinical teacher for on. That's where you teach someone. You have a senior watching you and they will give you feedback on different aspects. Things like organization. How you delivered that? The lecture on give you any feedback. So my top tips are mentally have a variety of assess it. You don't want just one doctor. I'm signing off all of your different things. Make sure you have a variety of assess is And it would be good to have people off. Um, a range of training grades as well. That can include registrars consultants on of the training levels on. Make sure you discuss what you've learned and reflect on you as well. Uh, one of the we got a trial. Just stop there quickly. How we got any question that? Well, so far, we we haven't actually gotten any questions or time being just things related to the forms and stuff. So we'll carry on. And if something pops off, ask Yeah, that's fine. Perfect. Thank you. So we've got the tub now, and this is quite important one. So it's called a team assessment of behavior. Um, what is essentially your team that you worked with will be assessing you and also assess you on different measures. So these are the different for different aspects that the Yaz to write about you. So that's your professionalism, your trust, your communication skills, your teamwork and how accessible you are. Before you send off a tub, you'll have to do a cell of tub. So that's where you write about. Um, you're right about yourself and what you think how you are on these different aspect and that that I believe will be seen by the person you're sending it to. Andre will write to be about these different aspects. Well, I'm not completely sure whether they see that 100% you have to do a self type of boat. Um, so this is very important. You need to have one adequate and, um, good top, um, throughout your F one. And there's certain requirements that you need to meet in order to have a successful top. So you need at least 10 assesses on immediately made up of a variety of different healthcare professionals, So based consists of at least two consultants, at least one doctor above F two level to senior nurses, so they're going to be at least five or above, and to a light help professionals that could be ward staff Pharmacist secretary on an example are given Here is, for example, even have to I am tea trainings for their call Medical doctors A GP trainee three consultants Surgical training Nurses may be a pharmacist, a secretary and that would equate to more than 10 so aimed for more than 10, I'd say on. In some cases, if people don't respond, you might need to send out more than you're more than 10 tickets out. Tickets are basically forms, so you might need to send it to more than 10 people because not everyone will respond. So they're spare that in mind. Ideally, get this stone in your first moment block. However, if so, you don't have a satisfactory type in that block you can do. You can, of course, submit another tap on your next book. Okay, Right. So let's just think about each medication now and what you need to think about starting gearing and at the end off that form of rotation. So either start. You need to remember your foundation curriculum. Now, this is your final quickly, which will be reflecting on. I'm having a look at throughout the, uh and I'll go into detail about what that consists of. PDP's. You need to create a set, and I'll describe that as well. And you need to email. Um, contact your local supervisor and education supervisors because you need a meeting at that at this star on at the end off the form of blocks. Okay, so foundation curriculum. This is a really important one. So it's made up of four key points official behavior and trust, communication, teamwork, a meter ship, critical care and safety and quality. And you could see in a smaller writing examples of what comes into those domains. So, for example, you do a mini HKEx, you might be able to map that over, and the under that they really important thing is you need a map. Whatever you do your SLE. So maybe better. That's your CBT or your medication renewed your map it on to a certain, uh, until one of these categories and you do. You should do that throughout the year, because if you leave it right to the end of the, uh, it will just be a really big task so sooner you do a mini cakes and it's signed off. Say, if it was a some history examination of a patient, you could map that towards Chemical Castle Point number three. So you've contributed quality improvement project. You can map that two point number four. So make sure you're doing these different things because this is a really big part of why I asked. You can map. You can map a lot of different things, So just bear in mind that you want to be my thinking that you go along some meetings we discussed. You need a chemical supervise, and education should quite a meeting at the start and end of each woman. Onda, ideally, is optional. You can have a chemical D twice a meeting midway through your form, a clot just to see how you're progressing and just to have a chat about things as well. So now PDP's so this is, um, your personal developmental plant. So for each for month block you to create a plan about what your developmental needs are, what you came to get out of, that what you're going to do to try and achieve that block and write those things down. And this is something that will be discussed in your first meetings with your clinical supervisor, um, and your education supervisor. So, for example, you're going into a medical block. You could maybe talk about things like going to give up my interpretations. Covers a chest X rays off blood gasses on of presenting patients as well as doing procedures. You might want to achieve those things by going to connects. Seeing seeing Clarkin patients what you're on call on doctor end of the former clock. You need to analyze what you've done. You need to describe and write down how you achieve those outcomes on, but you will have to mark whether you've achieved those outcomes for your aims or know achieved games to make sure you're doing your right. Things are reasonable and attainable in that four months, all right, so doing rotation you need to do certain things on many cakes is in a certain amount of these now for me because of the cold would situation some of these requirements reduced, but make sure for your your you check the foundation uh, foundation foundation year website, and they would tell you the exact requirements and we'll go through that by at the end of. So don't forget that if you're having trouble with signing things off, you need to speak with your senior to speak with. You could call supervisor early on just to make sure that you have the opportunity and you're making them aware. So you're you're the only doctor around for some time, so you haven't been able to get things lined up. Need to make them aware of that so that they can tackle those issues. So some important things, so you need at least usually is three minute Texas and to see bodies performance. How have it sent? In some cases, if you do too many cakes, it and one daughter adopt being a directly of the procedure than that that's that occur as well. Core procedures were discuss that later that that includes things that can relation. Taking blood to blood cultures. Catheterization, uh, things like that. There's there's a new form called a Learned for, So that's where you can reflect on, say, a discussion or a case, and you send up to one of your senior than they consigned that off. You're teaching, locking you to you need to keep on track of reflection. They're really important as well. And you got your quality improvement and order. It seemed to contribute to, um this is just going into them a bit more detail. In terms of reflections, there will be locally set. How many you need to do so by your, um region or by your foundation school terms of quality improvement projects? Um, you need to be involved. I believe in at least one or the or quality improvement project that can just double check these with your guidelines when you start career planning is important as well. Um, as you progress, you need to, um, have a need to write down What? What what type of thing you researched, who you discuss things with in terms of what career you might want to. I'm taking on special to you're considering, um, learn form. We we spoke about dogs so they can be things like arterial line in session. Um, And for a couple, if you're in theaters and you're intubating someone, um, that could be a procedure on a dope is anything that doesn't come under corporate seizures, and we'll discuss what could what those corporate is our Which of which there are 50. You've also got your teaching. Look, um, developing the clinical teacher forms on, we're going to detail about those a bit more later. So just a quick garden, how to write reflections, then Just remember, reflection. They're really important on to write about both in a good situation than and more challenging one. Um, describe your feelings. What happened? Analyze what happened and remember to write about what you learned in what you're going to be moving forward. So, an example of our reflection off court here. So this is about a difficult, uh, venous cannulation um, trying when you when you were asked. So So this one is unexamined. Well, where the doctor was asked her cannulate because one of the colleges, um, was unsuccessful. So they felt that it was a difficult situation because of the man jobs the heart on. But they knew that this'll patient required IV antibiotics. That was very important so they can united patient on. They also had in the back of your mind that if they were unsuccessful little rates that two senior, which is appropriate, um, so that you could describe what you did. Your top tips and your techniques. You can describe that. What went well and what you found challenging on getting your conclusion. An actual plan. You can see how you found it. Maybe that you enjoyed the challenge on that. You're going to do some further meeting about, Take me on, hopefully have more practice and and do more of them in the future. No call procedures. Let's just discuss that quickly. So throughout your year, you need to get 15 corporate. See, just done on this consistent Well listed out here, I won't read them all. But I'm sure some of any of you would have done these. And, well, it's not medical school. That smile just going to ask of you. Have you got any questions that anyone's wondering asking at the moment? So we can we can answer. Yeah. So we, um, questions come in. Um, if you have to answer them now, just about the past couple of slides. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, first question was, someone's put down to They all have to be from the same rotation. And I think it was shortly after the tab slide. So Okay, the assessment That's a really good question. Actually, I I'm not too sure about the answer, but I know generally, um, you will do a tab for the placement urine. So within that former block, usually you do a tab maybe halfway in so that everyone knows you, they they know how you were on things like that. And usually is those people who are in that, especially in that rotation, rather than people who you've seen maybe a few months ago. So it would make sense that, say, to keep it within the rotation of the specialty that you're in yet? Yeah, like you said, I mean, it's in the first rotation, so it will tend to be people that, you know, I think just, um just one thing to know is sometimes you'll be on acute rotor. So you might have a day job with the award team, for example, respiratory on, Then go on call with other teams. And then, you know, if you find is that they they might want to, you know, complete a tab for you. Then you can still ask people who aren't necessarily in your, um, you know, parent team. But people that you go up to it. So I think you can still do that. Yeah. No, Definitely, definitely. Whoever you've seen doing that location, you can definitely all. Um And then there's another question says, can you back log your portfolio to show things you achieve that medical school? So things like war decks of publications? Um, hi. I think you may, but I think the portfolio really is for your foundation. Yeah. Um, help. I guess there's no harm in adding things and dating them as you did that previous toe f one. But the requirements will be for things that you need to do, doing it for one. But of course, under additional achievements and things like that, I don't see why that would be unusual. Think you can definitely do that? Yeah, I think, Um, you you still need to do, like, the q I project, or would it still have to do? It has to be within that one year. So, um, just check. We don't go. Any other questions that I don't think we home? Um oh. I mean, guys, just keep your questions coming, and, um, whatever you need your current I'm so have ah, another quite interesting question on, um, hope you know the answer. What? What happens if you're on international graduate? Is the procedure the same? What happened? Is your international graduated? I'm not quite sure or I'm not quite understanding the question. Um, we're not say is if you've got something specific, I'm trouble. You can always email mind the sleep. Someone in the chart box. Um, but I'm not usual work on that one. Uh, I think I'm I'm not. I'm not quite sure. 100 sexual questions asking, but you international graduate. Some of them have already kind of don't need to do another one, so they might go straight to have to Some of them come and do an F one. Trust great job. And you can use a Horace or non training grade posts, but you'll have to set that up individually with your trust once you once you've been employed with them. So I think you can, you know, in in the case well of international graduates come, they don't actually need to, um, do enough one, But they might choose to do so just for the practice. Um, and you can have a portfolio, but you don't necessarily have to have one. What for? Purposes off, You know, doing the F one. Uh um, you know, competencies on everything else that we're going through today. I'm not sure if that answers the question, but if it doesn't, then just let us know and we'll try and cover either during the webinar or later on, we'll reply through the chart as well. Some so dry. Yeah. Sorry about my Internet was playing up there so we don't have any more questions. So I think you can, um, around here. Perfect, right? And so let's talk about the teaching log. Um, so you need to keep on track of the teaching lock. So what happens is as your tour, you just need to, uh the kite on it would be about that big concession to your portfolio. You need a minute before us. It's a minimum of 60 hours, and that's made about both core foundation teaching and non court teaching. So core is basically things that your post grad education team to the post graduation team will organize. So they're going to be a weekly teach existence, buy consultants or the doctors, and that's for Multichoice. Non call these things like, say, you're learning that you do. Or departmental teaching in your ward or crying browns or the things that you attend, You learning For us, it's only maximum six hours, contributes towards a teaching look and just let you know, developing the conflict. You perform the front, um uh, two. Um, the teacher. Look, Okay, so just coming up to the end of your rotation, just remember that you're signing off your pee pee on analyzing and adding how you do give you a different golds Having your meeting on thinking about what you're going to do next, now a RCP. So this is again or close to the end of the year. Um, it will be locally decided by a foundation school. You need to pass to be able to go in to have to, um and it's basically a form of a panel of different consultants who would review your portfolio, Uh, and the longest. And they will judge whether you meet with the monetary requirements, um, Fantasia in, uh, that you need your foundation, your one now additional achievement. This is an opportunity for you just to display all the other things that you do so whether you've done on exam, um, safer medicine, you're gonna have that, um, or CPI. Oh, you've done some other specialty extremes. You can add that there. If you've got some publications you've taken part and research or say you're doing it paste a week in ophthalmology. You cannot that that, um if you attended other the learning or so even if you attended this forever know you can add this to your portfolio, Have, Of course, we're going to be giving you got a certificate? The end. Once you filled in the feedback form so you can add a little these things and off course, they will reflect really well on you if you've achieved a mandatory requirements and you have additional things to show. So a couple of key points before I will summarize the mandatory requirements that you need to have, um, Onda couple of important points. Mitch, you completing your report for years ago along it's easy to sometimes forget about it, but assumed you've done something. Whether that they're working at home, just add it on to your portfolio on get it saved. There you can save as a drop off. So you don't have to always finish it or send it off. But just add on what you've done. It was actually a bit later and send it off. Find out that emails and the contact tells off the person you're going to send the form, too. And just make sure you're keeping talk that any problems make you. You're speaking to the right person, and whether that's that, you know, doctor forums, the post card team, your supervisors were consultants. Make sure your your risk for help. Remember that if it's not on your cough polio. Um, there's no proof of you actually have been done it. So make sure that everything you do and you on that you want to put in a port for you. Actually put it on there. Um, because otherwise you might once my past not forget about it and then don't really have any proof. And the big thing F one you learn so much you enjoy a great deal openly on, but we'll be a really great experience, so it's really use it to the maximum. So I'll give you something of all the mandatory requirements, and we'll have a Q and A A swell. Um, but just before with that, we've got the feedback for, um So I believe January will add it to the chat box. A link to the heat platform on. If you guys don't mind just scanning the QR code, um, that will give you, um, a form to fill him on. You get certificate once you complete that for And remember, you can use that on your own portfolios. And, of course, something reading for 44 years. So do try and add some teacher for us, and we'll be really hardly handy. And we really appreciate your time. So I'm just going to pause for a couple of minutes and just give you time to do that. In the meantime, fact of breath, you just want to have a look through the question and we'll get ready with I'm questions afterwards. As what? It's summarizing the key point. Yeah, thanks. Um, so I'm really good talk. Um, just kind of went through everything that you have to do. Um, as an f one, which is can be quite daunting, but once you break it down, it is manageable. Um, as you've shown us, the have been a couple of interesting questions, actually, Um, so one of them is, I guess it does. External teaching sessions or lectures? Webinars, things like that. Do they count towards the mandatory teaching girl? So think about, um uh, um, so they don't Yes, they do. Can. Towards the mandatory teaching block, you can add them as non court. So not as the core teaching, but you add, um, a non call. Definitely. Thanks. Um, then ah is no question. It says, uh, can you take part in grand rounds as an a one ah 100 sent. I would recommend doing so. Um, it's a really good opportunity to print them, to develop and to learn. So 100%. Um, if there's an interesting cases and what it should do with your team 100 center and get involved in grand rounds Great. Okay, what I'll do, I'll just come. You on vitamin D on and we've got that. We've got the full cure afterwards just to summarize kind of, which is it is the feet that form on the chart box? Uh, yeah, that is the that Is that perfect? Okay, so just summarize them. So the meetings that start with so you need an education, Supervise a meeting at the start of the year on ball. So at the star first block, you'll have 34 months blocks. You need education at the meeting and can consider a vise a meeting at this start and end off each block of metformin block at the end of the third form of block. You, um you won't necessarily have Um, yeah. So those are the meeting requirement 30. So after each four month block you to have meetings, we'll start on that. The end. There's just some, Some specifically tell them if you're unsure, always ask your supervisors and be more than happy to help. So this is, um, about the SED requirements. So you can see, for example, you need one satisfactory top. You need to have all of the 15 corpus seizures on. Remember, they can be signed off by nurses, specialty nurses, for example. The peak flow can be done by a by a special, especially fast. Been there. For example. Um, you need to meet the minimum requirements of many characters and see bodies. So usually you need at least nine observations. Paleo and 62 minute Texas. Um and the other three tops for us this year, the requirements have been reduced to little bit. You need case that this discussion discussions usually two per placement or Perea six per year. And by the way, these things are quite seven on to us as well. Just do the you portfolio. Um, such a spare live mind if I look in the computer form? Usually you only need one of them per year. But course you could always have more than that on this has no actually mandatory. Um, and this is just other requirements. So you need a valid pa say so That's the prescribing safety assessment in Utah pasta. Immediate life support, you tell. That's a typical It's a proof of that for F Tuesday. Need to pass a less average involves life support on did tell the quality improvement need to show evidence of involvement in quality improvement initiative on projects. Okay, on the other thing is, you need to make sure that you're actually attending the different teaching, um, set by your foundation school. Any questions now, on gum? We're We're more than happy to take on. Just let you know, hopefully you guys find that found that useful again. That's the Qvar called a feedback for, uh And, um, any questions? More than happy that one to them. All right. Sounds old. Thank you. Those great presentation really useful just quickly before we go to the main culinary. I just wanted to let everyone know that we've got laws here from the M D u. She's just going to quickly say something on if you have any questions. Breathes sound. So Fatima awful laws. He's just post them in the base book chat. Will be sure to get the months it for you. I'm pretty sure I scream. Yeah, Thank you. So what after I was just with regards to it. Never got so just place the our advice when it comes to report fires. Um, pretty much so. From a medical legal point of view, obviously cause that's where that's where we live. Onda. You know, it's your people fail. It can be a really powerful tool to demonstrate both your reflection on remediation. If something does go wrong, dealing with mistakes or any kind of near misses in this way can really, really make a difference if the patient or the family does complain about you. Okay, so our our vice on this pretty much is reflect on mistakes or near misses. Okay, It's the most professional thing you can do from basically the moment that you're aware of the fact that you have made this in steak or that something could have gone wrong. Don't wait until it gets reported or until you get told to do it. Do it straight away, come up with a solution or action so that this kind of thing is avoided in the future. On that is your number one step to what is called immediate activity. Okay, keep your sharing. Your knowledge is the professional thing to do. So you keep your patient's safe by helping your colleagues not make the same mistakes. Okay, so if you have learned this left side and share that with your colleagues, there's no reason for them to have to make the same potential mistake in order for them to learn it. Um, so practice you name it it. This is theseventies. Action off. Immediate activity. So now you've come up with your solution. You've got to make sure that it becomes part of your daily practice, okay? very, very important on record. The fact that you're doing this all right, you've changed the way your practice. You have any way of doing things? Make sure that you keep a record of the fact that you, you know, doing these things that you're checking that extra thing inside falls because that is what you're going to need one day. If you have to provide evidence to you know, either the GMC or internal investigation or something like that. It's the quickest way to prove to them that there is no investigation. You fixed it. They don't have to make any further. Okay, so the gyn see, ultimately, you know, when they look at these things, they are looking for fitness to practice on your proof off insight and you have to be able to prove it. You can't just say Oh, yes, I did. Reflect on this machine have done different. They also need to kind of see that you have been doing different. And that's just kind of annoyance of quickly add my two cents in there for you. Okay, we'll stop hearing. Okay. Great. Thanks for that loss. Really useful to know any questions at all that you have. I think a Fatima will have a look and see what's been posted. Anything else that has come up, just let us know we'll try. Answer it for you. Yeah. Thanks. Um, so that was really useful, actually. Exam. Thank you so much. Um Ah. I think, uh, I'll have a look through the track. Anything pops up for you, the yourself will Santyl. But there's, um there's already two questions which, um, people have posed that. I think that I am quite well together. So if you don't mind sometime, or I'll ask you them both at the same time. And they kind of address both. Both the things. So, um, someone first off, You know, um, which rotations would you kind of recommend to pick as enough? What, on a follow on from that is someone's asked how would you recommend managing cool procedures, getting them signed off if you're on a specialty where you might not necessarily be able to easily come across someone who needs, you know? Ah, peak flow, reading goodness to get talk about how to use it. The the meter. And so what? What? You What? Your answer, Teo. So I'm not a really good question, actually. Thank you, Andre think mg that was That was really useful information as well. So in terms of rotations, I think it's really going to be telling the tours what you want to do to say you want to do GP. Try and get people say, if you want to do up that molecule, you quit in one and try and get post there and try and tailor your your your jobs Towards a specialty, However, there's always you always have to have. I believe at least one medical, one surgical on day, one community. Whether that's psychology of you to have not those types of posts but definitely tailor them towards your interests is the big is the main thing. Because when it comes to pull applications, um, you will be showing your your dedication to that specialty. If you've already spent some time, we're in that specialty, and you've been able to reflect done procedures. Can you know, knowledge. So that reflects while on you that's the answer to that one. Um, in technical procedures, um, you you should try and seek them. Know so? So if you have any, any block, you'll be able to do a lot of them things like I am injection. Say that. Say that that that's use the injection. Um, it was like peak flow. I'm quite fortunate in I've I've had a respiratory rotation, so Ah, I'm able to That was telling me to get done. I'd say, Speak with your seniors If you're having difficulties getting certain ones, find off, um, and and try and see if, um Mr Opportunities to do that Onda and go from there really, hopefully should be able to get them all done, but definitely we speak with the supervisor 18 if you are struggling. No, I think that's a really good point. You know, check in with your clinical supervisor if you're having a lot of trouble, but it should be manageable. And like you said, I think if you're on a specialty where it's not quite as easy to get something signed off, then trying to actively seek out on other wards maybe, you know, um, asking around if there are any I am injections that need to be given, and then you can you can give them, um, Onda. Just another question about cool procedures if that's okay. Some saw someone said, If you're not feeling very confident in doing the court procedures, how would you kind of approach the fact that you need to get them signed off? Good question. Really? Good question. So what say is if you're not feeling confident, definitely. Do you do your reading? What? Some videos about how to do them. Onda, Um maybe actually watch someone do it first. The best way to do is read a your stuff, watch someone do it. And once you feel like you're competent, do it supervised on. And that's the best way to go forward with that one. Them on just a quick one who can sign off the procedures? I think you mentioned earlier, like so it could be a UTI is actually a variety of house compression. So it can be a nurse. Even it can be doctors. You can even the F twos, so it could be a range of different grades. So that's actually something where you can have a lot of different people who are acceptable. Basically anyone who is competent in a minute so so the nurses can cut the Duragesic things like that. They would be able to sign you up for For that again. You can always double check with you if your supervisor Newports Quite team, if you're If you're really on join, it will say on the form who is actually allowed to sign the office. Well, okay, um, that clears up. There's just one other question related to cool procedure as well on saying, can you get them signed up clear in your system? We called face two days. Well, that's a really good question, actually. Interesting. Um, I'm not sure, but But that one, I must say, um, you know that question is to us and ask if she provided about that one, because I'm not too sure, But that's quite interesting. One should I'm Thanks. Thanks for mentioning that one. Very interesting. Um, there's one more question for your stink. Um, so it says if you don't get a specialty, you want it, but it's always a bit off topic. But if you don't get especially you want for F y jobs, would you recommend taking enough three to build your CV? Well, um, that's another conversation. I mean, for me. I I don't know too much about every three. Um, but I think I mean, it depends. Probably factor of a bit. Might might be able to help a little bit more, but, um yeah, any any advice? And I want to, um, So I'm in, uh, four. Currently, Um, the thing is, it depends. It depends on what you want to do. I wanted to take at least a year out to just kind of know, have the stress off. Um, you know, Well, I I loved him around, so I I like the fact that I can choose when I want to work. Um, but also, like you mentioned for CV building, I didn't have a rotations and what I wanted to do. But then again, a lot of people don't have rotations in what they want to do. For example, I mean, like you mentioned earliest time so awful neurology. Getting a rotation off the body is really difficult. No, necessarily because of competitiveness on F one level. But there's just not many jobs. So most people that go into that specialty, for example, will not have done ever anathema off for my allergy rotation on They know that when you apply, So it shouldn't actually hinder you from applying for what you want. I'm just going straight in from to, um you know, do you have anything to add any? Anything else, Some soul. So that what do you know? I would agree with everything Is that they're really good point. Especially because you may not get a job that you especially that you're wanting to pursue on. You might want to do that in your three parts. Then again, if if you are successful, you know, combining two that specialty enough to And you might not want to do a nifty. So it's all about what you want to do. What? What's your specialty? How your specialty applications call. I think the main main things. Yeah. Thanks. Um, so, um, we haven't got any more questions for you. Uh, lasagna fits. All right. I just wanted to ask you a question, if that's all right. Just kind of by in terms of reflections at the legal issues, Can they be So you want to get a special the time? Um, can they be huge by anyone in part, from your supervisor on yourself or what? What's the for? Potentially potentially. There was a some recent cases, there was a little bit of miscommunication and misinformation about whether reflective notes could be used against you. Um, the easy they There's no easy answer. The easy answers. Well, the main thing is that your reflective note should not have any information that isn't already recorded somewhere else. The only time you really get in trouble with the reflective notice. If it's say something different to the statement you provided to the gym, seal the police or whatever. So you're reflective notes in itself, Really. I mean, ideally, it should be completely anonymous because it shouldn't be. It shouldn't have clinical information about the patient or about your colleagues. Yeah, he also don't want to name colleagues. It should be not have those kind of data, you know that is, you know, disclose a ble. I'm it's actually, it's It's more likely that you can offer your reflective notes as part of showing, for example, the James see that you are on. You have been practicing reflective practice, so it it actually functions more likely as something you want to show people. If they have questions rather than actually being used against you. It has to be requested, and the GNC does on the crown Persecution service have actually, um I think on the other garbage case from a few years back, I think that actually said on their website that this is not something that they would request as part of normal evidence. Only if, for whatever reason, I imagine I find out that it's something in the reflective night that was potentially different than everything else. That already right? She's very Yeah, I guess Puts puts me, I yes, and, um hopefully the audience. But I use that, you know, it's it's more, I guess, a tool for showing that you've learned from something in case you get into trouble. So, yeah, I think we could go to the gym, see the first thing they do with with allegations. I'm gonna fit Mr Practice hearing. The first thing they do is they need to see if the evidence is there to prove the allegations. The next step of that is about fitness to practice. So even if the allegations have been proven, the next step is Well, does that mean that this doctor here today all their fifties practice and your effect of notes and your immediate activities. That's where you show that. You know. But like I said before, if you'd already done those things right at the start of an investigation, it's unlikely that that investigation would go much further because you've already dealt with everything that you could have dealt with, you know? Okay, that's that's fair enough. Thanks. Thanks so much for that information. Um, uh, I haven't seen there any more questions. I'll just check. Obviously, if you have further questions and we're not able to answer them right now well, um well, definitely address them in the chart. Um, Chin. Mm. So, uh, something still there? Yeah. Yep. Think Well, we've got a question, and I'm not sure what it's about. Um, but I can a readout. It says any tips will. I am geo on where to get more information on all these topics. I don't know what I am. Juice. I think that's international medical. Quite possible for international, I'd say. Have a look online. I think there are some good websites information out there. Um, I think that might be the best place to toe have a look, but I'm not sure in specific places. But I've seen myself that there are places online. Um, what's a good website online to, or so have a look and see what you could find out. Yeah, I shouldn't. Come on, horse. They've got accused by C sections. And there's someone, you know foundation, uh, doctors and then also on non training grade doctors. So depending on where you fit in, I think they might be useful. On the other hand, they may know. I don't know. I haven't I haven't seen one like you said specifically targeted, um, international students. But if we'll probably have a look, and if we find a lot of pop it in the trap as well, No, it's great. I think that's, um, all of the main questions done, so we'll probably try to wrap it up now. But big thank thank you two Sample and Pattama for a really useful presentation on two down from the B m. A. On Law's from the MD I popped in the chapter. If there any burning questions, email mind the bleed, but gmail dot com on someone will get back to you with the answers. Just a quick shout that next week's Webinar is at the same time. So Wednesday at eight PM on its own self discharging patients. So the link is in the chapas. Well, eh, So hopefully you guys can join us for that next week. But otherwise, thank you, everyone for joining. And hopefully we'll see you will soon. I think you're Thanks. Bye.
