How about now? Nope. Mhm. Did you press the so um share your whole screen? Don't just share like the window, share the whole screen. Ok. And I'll share a screen that should work. Yeah, cool. How about now? No, not forget screen this nothing. No, we can't see your screen at the moment. How about now? Yeah, we can see it now. So you wanna put on your slides co ok. Can you see that? Yeah, but I can kinda see your your face in front of the slides rather than just like your cameras like blocking us lights. Interesting. Uh mm when uh 00 I see. How about now? Can't see your swimming pool. It it well, nothing so far. Do you want to try and send us the slides and then we can probably try to share it. Yeah, that's fine. Um uh the screen. Oh I know what's happened actually. Sorry. Um One second. Right. Yeah, it's there now. Yeah, but not now. Thank God. Um OK, perfect. Right. So again sorry, I'm late everyone. Um It was just for the patient but um my name is Mary and I will be just going over the situational judgment test um mainly to for the M sra. Um Yeah, we'll just go a brief overview over it. I've got some practice questions in it as well and just some kind of hoping, hoping for some discussion on kind of what people find difficult and just tips for kind of how to ace it for the M sra. Um I just sat the M SRA um recently and I do think that S JT is something that everyone struggles with quite a lot. Um But I do think there's also kind of some misinformation for about it as well. So hopefully we can clear that all up. Perfect. So the format for the ST JT for the M SRA is that we've got 50 questions um and the time allocated to it I think is around 94 to 95 minutes. Um And you have two different types of questions. So you've got ranking questions where you'll be given a scenario and you have to rank options of your response in order of most appropriate to least appropriate. Um And the second one is multiple choice questions where you'll have a scenario again and you will be asked to pick three responses to that scenario So, um the things that these questions are testing are, there's three things that's testing. So number one is professional integrity. So it wants to make sure that you're open and honest with others. And it, there is a big, um big kind of um focus on being a, being um able to admit to your own mistakes and being kind of honest and open as well. So treating others with respect and dignity and having those personal professional boundaries. I think sometimes something that people struggle with with the SAT is thinking that you just kind of have to be this robot who never has a personal life and you know, always sacrifices like canceling plans and things for work. But that's not true. I think if you can um if you look at some questions in question banks and on the paper, actually, if it's fair, you are allowed to kind of set those personal and professional boundaries because as a doctor, that's what you have to do. Um able being able to balance the ethical tensions in relation to demand resources and expectations. So that could be things like um nurses asking you to do things which are outside of your scope or being having to get um balance kind of um clinical acuity with kind of admin risks all of those things. So again, striving for quality and managing risks, um working proactively and being inquisitive in approach and also taking responsibility for yourself and others in the health of wider populations. So there's a big, big, big focus on patient safety in the M SRA. It's like one of the top things to consider. Um And again, you have to demonstrate commitment of equality um to equality of care for all patients and act in the patient's best interests. So, empathy and sensitivity is another um domain they test. So you have to employ a caring approach towards patients and colleagues. And again, this is something where people struggle with because I think there are some questions where someone might be kind of displaying some odd behaviors and the kind of um options could be kind of escalate straight away. But actually, if you have that empathy and sensitivity and you always kind of escalate it with your um colleague first. Um that covers this domain. Um again, motivation to view situations from the point uh patient and colleague perspective. So you've really got to consider kind of everyone involved in the scenario given um again, understanding of the situations and circumstances and having that holistic approach to patient care um considering social, psychological and emotional factors is again, really, really important in the MSR um again, empowering patients through involvement in their own care. So it's again, going back to that holistic approach.
