Please be prepared to work in muddy, rough, uneven and potentially wet conditions We look forward to seeing you at Coverack and having a fantastic couple of days in Sunny Kernow Lucy and Endeavour Medical TeamCourse Description This two-day training is designed for doctors to learn new skills in remote medicine, explore fresh approaches to leadership and resilience and find safe spaces to share their own experiences working through the pandemic. The training will take place in the remote location of Coverack, a coastal YHA on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, and is taught by an expert faculty with skills in leadership, resilience, and remote medicine. Scenarios will focus on both medical and non-technical skills. Workshops will offer time and space in a beautiful outdoor environment to explore what we mean by resilience and how we can learn from each other’s experiences during the pandemic, both in this country and colleagues working across the globe in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs). Joining instructions Please arrive on time on 16 . There may be space to stay on the evening of 15 in Coverack if you would like to. Please contact the YHA directly to book a room. You will be sharing rooms in dormitories in the YHA. The dress code is informal, please see the kit list below. Meals and accommodation are included. Please a reusable mug for tea and coffee. Alcohol is not included. Weather pending, there will be an optional guided kayak trip which will cost £15 per person for two hours. This is entirely optional. Please bring a wetsuit and booties if you have them, change of clothes and shorts and rash vest and waterproof jacket to wear.KIT LIST The majority of the course will take place outdoors unless the weather is against us.
