Endeavour Medical Expedition Medicine and Leadership June 26 -30th 2022, Morzine Joining instructions Welcome to your Endeavour Medical course. The world of adventure travel is becoming increasingly more accessible; we are seeing individuals survive in the most extreme of environments, as well as extremes of age travel to far flung corners of the globe. We applaud the appetite for adventure, the ethos of sustainable exploration and the opportunity to experience environments and cultures other than our own. With adventure and exploration there is always an element of risk. This risk must be balanced to your own and your team’s desires and inherently through taking this course you are mitigating an element of risk. The accompanying course manual is designed to support your learning during the course and remind you of the knowledge and skills you have acquired. It is intended for reference purposes only and not as a medical textbook. Course Location The course will be held in Chalet Beziere (course chalet), Morzine, Portes du Soleil. Where possible we will teach outdoors. Course Timings Day 1: This is a day of pre recorded lectures. This day should be included in the study leave application of the course, and can either be completed in Morzine or at your home. Day 2 & 3: The course will run from 10.30 – 4.30. This will enable you to enjoy early morning in the mountain or an evening activity. Day 4: On Wednesday we will leave the accommodation at 08:30 and start a hike to Refuge De Bostan. This is weather and safety dependent. We will teach ad hoc during the day depending on conditions. If it is raining we may end up teaching in a refuge dormitory! The course will finish by 16:30 on the final day.Logistics Transport: you are responsible for booking your own flights and travel arrangements.
