IR Juniors ANEURYSMS IRBITES WHAT IS IT? An Aneurysm is a dilation of an artery >50% greater than normal diameter. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) are the most common. Screening begins at age 65 for all men in UK. Along with male sex, smoking and increasing age are known risk factors. AAA can be examined as an expansile, pulsatile mass.
