I am currently a master’s student in Global Health, set to graduate in 2025. With a background in biomedical studies, I’ve pivoted into this field and am actively engaged in several volunteering programs. Although I lack formal work experience, I’m focused on “stepping down to step up,” taking on roles that offer hands-on involvement and skill-building opportunities. To distinguish myself from candidates with only a bachelor’s degree, I’m targeting positions that demand a higher level of expertise in research, data analysis, and project management—skills that my advanced studies and volunteering experience have equipped me to deliver. How would you recommend to navigate through that?

in my current job search, what titles would you recommend looking into when finding a job in the epidemiology field / any other field really, as there's not many sectors prioritising global health degrees, even with a masters degree

Certainly not in the case of either of your incredibly impactful careers, however, do you think there should be any concern that individual careers that span across so many different fields and disciplines could lead to a “jack of all trades master of none” kind of situation?

im currently studying masters in global health, and i understand the different sectors of NGOs, Pharma, Digital and other opportunities, but what would you say is the best way to find these jobs? All the career pathways seem to ask for 10 years + of experience for a entry level job which seems disheartening, what advice would you have for that? and where would you say i could finds jobs and networking to get into the field?
